NBA Playoffs

The first round of NBA playoffs brought us plenty of action and a few surprises, and now the survivors go head-to-head in the conference semi-finals tipping off on May 8.

The Western Conference remains loaded but has been full of surprises, not least of which has been the sharp form of Aussie Andrew Bogut's Golden State Warriors. Still, it appears to be the San Antonio Spurs and injury-hit Oklahoma City as the current teams to beat. While the West is considered the deeper conference, it is the East's Miami Heat who reign as the defending champions and No.1 seed. They will be pitted against the Chicago Bulls, while the New York Knicks, having their best season in years, face the dangerous Indiana Pacers.
