Closure of the AUSTARnet service

Please note that as of 30th September 2011 the AUSTARnet service will no longer operate.

While it is disappointing to withdraw a product, the declining demand for dial-up services and the introduction of faster alternatives in the market, has meant that it is no longer viable to continue to provide this service.

We are currently providing notification to customers to their AUSTARnet email addresses.

What does this mean for you?

Internet: From 30th September 2011, you will no longer be able to connect to the internet using AUSTARnet. It is important that you find a replacement provider before this date.

To make this easier, AUSTAR have teamed up with Southern Cross Telco, providers of broadband ADSL and mobile broadband services in regional Australia, to provide you with some EXCLUSIVE AUSTARnet offers.

Email: Access to all AUSTARnet email services (including webmail) will be available until 31st October 2011 to enable you to set up an alternative email.

Webspace: Any Webspace that you have utilised as part of your AUSTARnet service will not be available from 31st October 2011.
