You'll notice that your Customer Agreement has been re-branded to Foxtel. Please rest assured that your contract terms have not changed and that your Foxtel service will continue to be provided by AUSTAR Entertainment Pty Ltd.

EUROSPORTNEWS is moving into Starter Pack, so if you're keen to keep up with all the news from the English Premier League or the Italian Grand Prix, you're in luck.

MTV is coming to Fun! If you love your music, then you will love that MTV Hits (channel 808) and MTV Live (channel 812) will be added to the Fun Option. Plus MTV Live HD (channel 252) will be added to HD.

Great news for documentary lovers: Discovery Channel (channel 232), National Geographic (channel 236) and Nat Geo Wild (channel 238) will be available in HD.

What will change now that AUSTAR is part of the Foxtel family?

  • A few new channels: MTV Hits, MTV Live, MTV Live HD, Discovery Channel HD, National Geographic Channel HD, Nat Geo Wild HD and a new 3D channel. Plus, EUROSPORTNEWS will be available in the Starter Pack.
  • A new phone number to call from July 1: 131 999
  • A new brand from July 1: AUSTAR is changing to Foxtel

Aside from that, it's business as usual. Everything else including your billing, equipment and pricing will stay the same – just sit back and relax and enjoy some exciting new programming.

I'm an AUSTAR customer. Will my bill change?
Until July 1, your bill will look exactly the same. From July 1, the only thing that will change on your bill and envelope is the branding – from AUSTAR to Foxtel. You can keep paying your bill the way you always have – via EasyPay direct debit, at Australia Post shops, over the phone or by cheque to AUSTAR.

I use direct debit to pay my account to AUSTAR every month – will this continue?
All of your payment and billing details will remain the same. If there are any changes we will notify you.

I also have another account with Foxtel at my other city address – can I merge the 2 accounts under one account?
At this stage, the invoices will continue to be sent separately. If there is a change to this, we will notify you.

Who should I call about my account or service?
Between now and June 30, you can continue to call us on 132 432.
From July 1, you can call us on 131 999.

How will I find out about the change to Foxtel?
You'll start to see Foxtel instead of AUSTAR on all our advertising, shopping centre kiosks and online from July 1.

AUSTAR customers will receive a stand-alone letter in the mail, which will be sent at the same time as their bill starting from May 28. The letter will set out more details of any immediate changes.

What will happen to the personal information you have about me?
There will be no changes to the way we handle your personal information. Read our privacy statement

Do I need to keep my existing equipment?
Yes. You need to keep all of your existing equipment to continue to receive your service. At this stage, there are no plans to swap or change your set top box or remote control.

Will the price of my package change now that you are owned by Foxtel?
We have no plans to change the current pricing structure.

I'm moving from an AUSTAR to a Foxtel area. Who do I need to call to arrange a new connection?
If you're moving to a Foxtel area, you'll need to call us on 132 432 to disconnect your existing AUSTAR account. We'll then transfer you to the Foxtel team to arrange a connection at your new address.

Can I switch to a Foxtel package?
We have no plans to change the current package structure and you'll continue to receive your current package and programming, including some exciting additions!

I'm an AUSTAR customer. Can I now access Foxtel On Demand?
For now, you won't be able to access Foxtel On Demand. However, you can still rent premier movie titles on BOX OFFICE.
