With AUSTAR's interactive features, you decide how you want to watch TV.

Whenever you see PRESS RED in the top right-hand corner of your TV screen, there are interactive features available at the touch of a button.

These interactive services are included in your subscription. The red button on your AUSTAR remote control opens up a whole new TV experience:

  • Choose which music channels you want to listen to, with Channel [V] and [V] Hits application, [V] For Me and My MTV.
  • Get in-game stats while watching NRL and AFL with The Analyser.
  • Choose which NRL or English Premier League game you want to watch LIVE, with Viewer's Choice.
  • Choose which news feed you want to watch with Sky News Active.
  • Get the weather forecast for your postcode with The Weather Channel.
  • Listen to over 30 music radio channels with AIR.

What is Weather Active?

The Weather Channel offers an exclusive interactive weather service - Weather Active - allowing viewers to access weather reports and 10-day forecasts for every Australian postcode, on demand.

You can access detailed local and international weather information ranging from tides, warnings and surf and beach reports to daily statistics, current conditions, extended forecasts and a raincheck feature monitoring anticipated rainfall.

Just tune in to channel 603 and press the [red] button on your remote control.

 

How do I start Interactive TV?

To launch an interactive feature, simply press the red button on your AUSTAR remote, when you see a PRESS RED on your TV.

To get back to normal TV, press the [AUSTAR] button. In fact, you can use this button if you ever get stuck somewhere and need a way out.
