Parental Control

When you've got AUSTAR, you don't always have to be in front of the TV to keep an eye on what your kids are watching.

Parental Control lets you block TV shows on AUSTAR channels based on their censorship classification, even when you're not around. And after the kids have gone to bed, you can easily unlock the shows you want to watch with a PIN Code.

You can also use your PIN to restrict BOX OFFICE movie purchases – so there are no surprises when you get your next bill!

How to set your Parental Control:

  1. Press [setup] on your remote control, highlight Parental Control, then press [select].
  2. Highlight Classifications then press [select].
  3. Enter your 4-digit PIN using the number buttons. The default PIN is 1234 until you customise your own 4-digit parental PIN by selecting the 'Change PIN' option in the 'Parental Control' menu.
  4. Set your desired level of Parental Control based on the censorship classification by using the [up] and [down] arrows and then pressing [select].
