New Channels

From this Sunday AUSTAR will be adding two exciting new channels to our line-up, FX and A&E.

FX will be available to all subscribers in the Starter Pack in SD on channel 123 and HD on 218. FX will show original, high quality, drama and comedy series. A&E showcases real life action and entertainment and will be included in the Quest option. It is also available in both SD on 607 and HD on 230.

Fashion TV

Fashion TV will no longer be part of the AUSTAR service from February 26, 2012. Please check Arena (channel 105), Style (channel 122), LifeStyle YOU (channel 120) and E! (channel 121) for all the latest fashion trends from Australia and around the world.

SPEED HD Channel Number Change

With the launch of FOX FOOTY HD next month, you'll notice that the FOX SPORTS HD channels have been grouped together – four HD channels (203-206) covering all major codes of football. Consequently, SPEED HD will be moving to channel 213, next to ESPN2 HD.

A Win For AFL Fans

For the first time ever, AFL fans will be able to watch every game of every round LIVE, in HD and with no ad-breaks siren to siren. FOX FOOTY will launch on AUSTAR from February 2012. Produced by FOX SPORTS, the dedicated AFL channel will show unprecedented LIVE coverage of the AFL, commencing with LIVE and EXCLUSIVE coverage of the NAB Cup pre-season. The channel will be included in the AUSTAR Sports option at no additional cost – and will also be available as an HD channel for MyStar HD subscribers.

Taking TV to Amazing as Usual

We’ve been receiving a lot of interest lately, much of it around our exciting programs and amazing new offer. There’s also the news that FOXTEL has put forward a proposal to acquire AUSTAR. We are currently working through the details of that proposal, and as we do it’s business as usual. Regardless of the outcome, customers will continue to receive the same great channels and programs they currently enjoy, without interruption.
