Why do I need to pay a $100 HD Start-Up fee?
HD is a more advanced technology and therefore more expensive to produce, which is why all new and existing subscribers upgrading to HD will need to pay an HD Start Up fee.
How can I save on my AUSTAR account with Easy Pay?
AUSTAR's Easy Pay Service makes paying your AUSTAR account easier and saves you money! When you pay with Easy Pay, AUSTAR waives the statement fee, a saving of $36 per year. You can set up Easy Pay on either your credit card or bank account, and it automatically debits your monthly fee. It’s easy to keep track of as it is drawn on the same date each month. However, if the draw date is a Saturday, Sunday or Public Holiday, the draw date will be the next business day.

Is MyStar HD easy to install, can I “DIY”?
All current MyStar customers can DIY. MyStar HD requires the same cabling as MyStar, so if you aren’t already installed for MyStar then you will need an AUSTAR technician to come and do the installation. If you are upgrading then it is simply a matter of swapping over the cables from your old set top box to MyStar HD, and then adding a new HDMI cable if your TV is HDMI enabled (or HD).
What is a "MULTI-VIEW Ticket"?
All BOX OFFICE Movies are purchased as MULTI-VIEW Tickets. A MULTI-VIEW Ticket means that you can watch all scheduled sessions of the movie you purchased from the time you purchased the movie until 5.59am (NSW time). This means that if you buy a movie at 10.00am in the morning, you can watch the movie as many times as it is scheduled until 5.59am (NSW time) the following morning.
Can I see the digital free to air HD channels with MyStar HD?
Absolutely! The Mystar HD is an approved digital switchover solution and will provide access to all the local FTA channels available in HD. You will need an HD TV of course to get the most out of their viewing.
How much does MyStar HD cost?
MyStar HD costs the same as MyStar - $14.95 per box per month. But for at least your first month of MyStar HD you’ll need to subscribe to AUSTAR’s HD Channels for an additional $5 per box per month. There is also an initial HD Start Up fee of $100 per box.
MyStar HD has a 3 month minimum commitment.

Will I need an HD TV to use MyStar HD?
No. MyStar HD can be used with analog or standard definition TVs to access HD channels available to you. But if you want to enjoy the superior sound and picture quality of High Definition, you’ll need an HD TV.
