


Closed Captions is a service that helps the hearing impaired enjoy TV on AUSTAR. Closed caption subtitles (text) are displayed on a customer’s TV screen, typically providing a transcription of the dialogue or audio in the program.
AUSTAR offers over 120,000 hours of closed caption programs across 70+ channels each year.
Closed Caption services remain available on programs recorded to our MyStar digital box (so long as the program offered closed captions originally).
To turn the closed caption subtitles on or off simply press the [yellow] button on your AUSTAR remote.
There are two ways to find closed caption programs:

Over 70 AUSTAR channels offer closed captioning on select TV programs, including over 50 unique channels plus a number of HD and time-shift channels. The channels providing closed captioning include:
