AUSTAR Digital TV

All of the channels on AUSTAR are broadcast in digital - so our customers enjoy more channels, better picture quality and fantastic features like interactive TV.

We broadcast on both High Definition (HD) and Standard Definition (SD) digital signals and offer digital features such as:

• High Definition TV
• Interactive Channels
• Interactive Sports Applications
• On-Screen TV Guide
• Movies on Demand

Our personal digital recorder MyStar even provides customers their digital free-to-air channels.

Unless you have a digital set-top box, a High Definition TV or you already subscribe to AUSTAR's MyStar or MyStar HD – you probably receive your free-to-air channels on the analogue signal.

The government plans to switch off the analogue signal from 2010.

You will need to make sure you are digital capable for every TV in your home or workplace, otherwise you may lose your free-to-air TV signal altogether.
